FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Newport News, VA – BOSH Global Services (BOSH) raised $14,800 for Wounded Warrior support organizations as a result of its first ever “Barbecue Lunch to benefit Wounded Warrior Project” on Friday, September 16. Wounded Warrior Project, a national non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and empowering wounded service members, received $7,400 as a result of the fundraiser. BOSH then donated a $7,400 company match to the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program, operated by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, to benefit wounded service members at home in Virginia.
“The barbecue was really a great event,” said BOSH employee Steve Randolph, who led the fundraising effort. “We’re so honored to help raise funds and awareness for these very deserving organizations. We’re looking forward to next year’s event, where we will strive to exceed this year’s earnings.” Several sponsors helped make the event a success, including (in no particular order) Chick-Fil-A, McDonald’s, ABZ Rentals, Jason’s Deli, Smithfield Foods, Northside Christian Church, First Baptist Church East End, Langley Federal Credit Union, The Spice is Right BBQ & Grilling Company, and Mutz Bar-B-Cue.
