UAV Comm Awarded as Subcontractor to SAIC on DOC-C Contract
Newport News, VA— On September 23, 2008, UAV Communications Inc. (UAV Comm) announced that it won the award as a subcontractor working with Science Application International Corporation (SAIC). As teaming partners, SAIC and UAV Comm will provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Dragon Operation Centers, Ground Control Stations, Ground Data Terminals, and Predator Primary Satellite Links.
This O&M support Contract will begin on October 1, 2008 and will provide Predator Combat Air Patrol mission support at both their Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico and Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada locations.
Our team of experts will provide all of the daily maintenance and operations support required for successful AFSOC mission execution, as well as the video and data dissemination to downstream users such as the warfighter for both exploitation and situational awareness customers worldwide. SAIC and UAV Comm will provide weapon system maintenance, long-haul communications support and all other administrative and support type functions required to maintain AFSOC's 24X7 Predator operations.
